This year’s Elimination Chamber PLE is now in the history books. For what it’s worth, the show had numerous feel-good moments and a star in the making in the name of Tiffany Stratton. The packed Optus Stadium was firmly behind the 24-year-old upstart. However, she couldn’t get over the line in the Women’s Chamber and has now blamed the Aussies.
In a post-match interview with Byron Saxton, The Buff Barbie said that she lost because the folks in Perth weren’t loud enough. Saxton further inquired about the next step for her. And in response, Tiffany asked everyone to look out for her on this week’s SmackDown. Speaking of how she fared in her Elimination Chamber debut, Stratton was pretty much the fan favorite.
She was thrown in at the earliest of all the competitors locked inside the chamber pods. However, it never felt like Tiffy had any butterflies in her stomach. The former NXT Women’s Champion was on song from the get-go, having the live crowd going bananas. A spot came when she jumped from atop the pod onto other women standing below. Stratton had her first scalp in Naomi, as the latter couldn’t power out.
However, Tiffany was soon removed from the match, courtesy of Liv Morgan. The fans were in absolute shambles as loud “bullsh*t” chants rang out at Stratton’s ouster. And even though Becky Lynch went on to win the match, the crowd had given up until that point. For many of them, the upstart from NXT was their “MVP.” It remains to be seen what WWE has up its sleeves for her.
Rhea Ripley got her well-deserved main event at the Elimination Chamber
For the first time since WrestleMania 37, women headlined a WWE PLE. It was an uphill task for the Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, as she took on Nia Jax. The latter had Rhea’s number in recent weeks on Raw.
However, Mami had the last laugh. She sustained a heavy toll on her body as Nia didn’t go down without a fight. But all it took for The Eradicator to overcome Nia was a riptide. After the match, the home girl took a moment to celebrate with her family.
And with that closing shot, the curtains drew on the 33rd annual Elimination Chamber PLE. As Triple H announced, 52,590 fans were in attendance, making the event a prohibitive success considering it lacked appearances from heavy hitters like The Rock, Roman Reigns, and an injured CM Punk.
