The DIY has played an instrumental role in shaping Tommaso Ciampa‘s WWE career. In fact, he did some of the best work of his career while in there with Johnny Gargano. Moreover, the Blackheart was the one who turned his back on Johnny Wrestling, resulting in one of the greatest rivalries in the history of NXT’s Black & Gold era.

However, that’s in the past, and both superstars are now on the main roster. While Ciampa is back from his major injury, his former tag team partner is nowhere to be found. As a result, Tommaso Ciampa has now taken it upon himself to find Johnny. To serve this purpose, Ciampa has started a campaign to execute his search operation.

He’s distributing missing flyers all over the place for Johnny Gargano. In the midst of that, the 38-year-old realized that it’s been exactly 7 years since DIY was born. Taking it to his X account, the Sicilian Psychopath thanked everyone who supported their journey right from the very beginning. Moreover, he said that Johnny might’ve not seen his post; however, the search will continue tomorrow night on Raw.

Now this is where it gets interesting. The way Ciampa’s pushing his agenda to find Gargano is incredible. It would definitely prompt fans to think that the DIY reunion is just a matter of time. Both superstars haven’t been used to even half of their potential on the bigger stage. With Triple H now heading creative, it should lead to a solid push for both of his favorite NXT guys, Gargano and Ciampa.

Will fans ever get to see the ultimate DIY dream match?

Before this year’s SummerSlam, there were strong rumors of DIY having a major spot on the card in Detroit. The speculated match would’ve seen them competing for the tag team titles at The Biggest Party of the Summer against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. However, as the show kept approaching, plans changed out of the blue, with neither team getting a match at Ford Field.

Soon after, Owens too got a temporary hiatus to cover up his minor bruises. As a result, Sami Zayn was the only one on television reminding fans that they’re still the champs. To absolutely great news, Kevin Owens returned to in-ring action this past Friday after SmackDown went off-air.

Potentially, the tag champs will be back from tonight’s episode of Raw in Quebec. And everyone would hope they’d get to see a dream showdown between DIY and the current tag team title holders at some point. However, the match needs to have a strong build-up before the teams eventually get to tear each other apart.
