Taking a step further to strengthen the Wrestling Community, Triple H has opened the forbidden door for one of its major stars to work with Pro Wrestling Noah promotion for a scintillating match against one of the greatest Japanese wrestlers, The Great Muta. Muta had announced that he’ll be retiring next year and thus is trying his level best to wrestle as much as he can.

Joining his queue of final opponents, Shinshuke Nakamura will be facing the Legend on January 1st, 2023, the Japanese promotion announced today. The match has been scheduled for NOAH’s New Year Event and is expected to be the highlight of the show. Reacting to the announcement Nakamura wrote on Twitter– “This is a miracle,”.

The former Intercontinental Champion would be wrestling in front of the home crowd after a long gap of 7 years as he left Japan in 2016 to join the Stamford based promotion. The match is indeed dream come true for many fans as the strict contract clause does not allow WWE Superstars to perform for other promotions and can only be done if the company approves it and what fans call as the forbidden door.

In a 2020 interview, Triple H has said that the company was open doing business with other promotions if the opportunity was worth the shot. However, till then the company was still under Vince McMahon’s regime but we didn’t see any of the collaborations happening. But, now with this step the company has indeed stepped foot in a positive direction under the new regime.

The move suprised many as The Great Muta has earlier appeared on AEW, and is also scheduled to make a future appearance for WWE’s rival promotion. With the current tensions around both the companies, WWE’s decision to allow their Top Star to wrestle with someone associated with one of their top rivals is commendable.

Now it needs to be seen whether the company would work with any other major wrestling promotions such as AEW or Impact in the near future as collaborations like these are a huge crowd puller and in the best interest of the wrestling community.
