On the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE ran a video package for the next week’s episode of NXT. A familiar gong sound went off at the end of the video. During the post-show press conference, WWE’s Head of Creative Triple H seemingly decoded it. He teased the return of WWE legend The Undertaker in the upcoming edition of NXT.

Speaking with the media in the press conference, Hunter said, “NXT is coming up, Carmelo Hayes and Bron Breakker are going to tear it up, and Cena and Heyman in their corners. Asuka, Roxanne Perez, Cody’s gonna be there with a big announcement. It’s an amazing week. He (Cody) did mention there was cool music (referring to the gong sound) at the end of the promotional package.”

During the Fastlane press conference, Triple H hinted at the exciting content WWE and NXT have in store for fans. Specifically, he subtly teased The Deadman’s appearance on next week’s NXT by referencing the gong sound played at the end of the NXT advertisement package.

The Undertaker hasn’t been seen on any WWE programming since January 2023. His last appearance took place on the Raw XXX anniversary episode. It also featured the late Bray Wyatt and SmackDown superstar LA Knight. The show was quite special for the fans, as it had a stupendous segment featuring Taker and Wyatt.

Therefore, it will be intriguing to see whether The Phenom shows up next week on NXT. Although WWE has been teasing it through the video package, his appearance on the brand looks implausible. However, The Undertaker will be in Orlando, Florida next week.

Triple H has high praise for Shawn Michaels and his booking in NXT

NXT was earlier under the charge of Triple H. However, the latter was forced to step down from his position after an untimely cardiac arrest. As a result, his best friend, Shawn Michaels, took over the creative department of the NXT brand. He assumed the new role of Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative.

In the post-show press meet following Fastlane, Triple H highly praised Shawn Michaels. Speaking of NXT under HBK’s regime, Hunter said, “The work that Shawn Michaels, and that team, his team is doing down there in NXT is off the chart. Just starting all over fresh, and turning all over around, week after week after week, producing some of the best content that WWE is producing, my hats off to all of them and to the talent”

The 54-year-old heaped praise on HBK for creating some of the best weekly content. In 2021, the NXT brand was announced to be rebranded as NXT 2.0. The WWE higher-ups intended to treat NXT as a third brand after Raw and SmackDown, not just a developmental.

Thus, Triple H also hailed HBK for pulling off a successful rebranding of the white-and-gold brand and producing bright, future top stars like Roxanne Perez, Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, and Tiffany Stratton under his regime.
