WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus made her return to WWE two weeks ago to join the alliance of Lita and Becky Lynch. This came after weeks of reports suggesting that the Canadian Legend was present backstage but didn’t make an appearance on screen due to last-minute changes. However, when she did make her return she was very effective in evening out the odds against Damage CTRL. And according to recent reports, the former Women’s champion might have long-term plans in the company.

In recent weeks, WRKD Wrestling on Twitter has emerged as a reliable source for news reports. They are the ones who accurately reported the return of Lita earlier this year. Moreover, they broke the news of last-minute changes to Trish Stratus’ return as well.

According to a recent tweet by WRKD, Trish Stratus might be turning heel soon. They say, that the 47-year-old legend will be doing so to set up a match with Becky Lynch at SummerSlam. They wrote in their tweet, “The long-term plan, as of this moment, is that Trish Stratus will turn heel and work a program with Becky Lynch through SummerSlam.”

It is still unclear when this turn will happen though. If it happens during the WrestleMania match it might hand a huge victory to Damage CTRL. The WWE Universe will also have to wait for the motivation behind the turn as currently there are no signs of a break-up between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus.

After winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at Raw with the help of the returning Trish Stratus, the former champions weren’t too thrilled with it. Hence, this week’s episode saw the Damage CTRL coming out to interrupt their rivals’ celebration. Further, both the teams finally agreed to a six-woman tag team match at the Show of Shows.

In the same segment, there were some seeds of dissension between Bayley and her faction mates, Iyo Sky, and Dakota Kai. The cracks within the Damage CTRL have been much visible for the past couple of months, ever since they started feuding with Becky Lynch. However, if the recent reports are to be believed, this could all be a swerve so Trish Stratus’ turn seems more shocking.

The leader of Stratusfaction had her last match in 2019 which was also at SummerSlam. The Canadian legend lost that match to Charlotte Flair in her hometown of Toronto, Ontario. It seems that she might be up for putting another talent over this year if she does extend her stay till the Biggest Party of the Summer.
