Just a few days ago, the wrestling world was set ablaze with a very unfortunate news regarding Jerry Lawler. The WWE Hall of Famer had suffered a massive stroke at his Fort Myers, Florida home on Monday. Following that, he was rushed to a local hospital where the Hall of Famer underwent surgery. Now a huge update has emerged on the latest health of The King which brought some relief to the fans.

Jerry Lawler’s official Twitter account had already posted an update on the wrestling legend after his surgery. Furthermore, they have given the latest update on the WWE legend’s health writing, “Jerry is out of ICU & will return to his Florida home for outpatient rehab for his limited speech & cognitive skills. Doctors hopeful for full recovery & Jerry is looking forward to returning to his fans very soon.”

Jerry Lawler was last seen in WWE at the January 28th Royal Rumble event where he was a member of the Kickoff panel. The Hall of Famer was also a part of the Raw 30 celebration the previous week as well. At the show, he joined the commentary team as a special guest commentator. The King is often remembered in the company for his great color commentary throughout the years. Moreover, the pair of Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler is considered to be one of the most iconic commentary duos in pro wrestling. WWE celebrated Lawler’s career in 2007 when he was inducted into the esteemed Hall of Fame.

Everyone who was associated with The King throughout his career in any shape or form has been sending best wishes to him on these tough times. Jim Ross told that he had a brief conversation with Jerry. JR said that Lawler’s speech was affected but he could still understand his words. The AEW commentator also revealed that Jerry’s prognosis is positive while also wishing him well for his recovery.

The respected wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer also conveyed his relief at receiving positive updates on Jerry Lawler. Wrestling Legends and other former WWE stars didn’t hold back to show their love for The King as well. The list of stars that prayed for his health included Ric Flair, Matt Hardy, Miro, Dustin Rhodes, and Sean Waltman. It was truly great to see that the 73-year-old legend had left such a mark in the industry and had so many well-wishers out there.
