Major update on Beth Phoenix’s current roster status with WWE

Over the past few years, Beth Phoenix has wrestled occasionally. Despite crossing her 40s, she’s hungrier than ever and keen to tango with the next generation. This past Saturday at the Elimination Chamber, she teamed up with her husband Edge. The Grit Couple battled Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley in a mixed tag team match. Even after Dominik Mysterio’s wacky antics on the ringside, the Hall of Famers emerged victorious.
The Montreal crowd came to their feets when Beth Phoenix came face-to-face with Rhea Ripley. As a matter of fact, The Glamazon remained pretty vocal about her admiration for The Eradicator. Both women resonates in a certain department and that’s to manhandle their opponents at will. At one point during her prime, Beth used to be the same. And today, that legacy is being carried forward by the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble winner.
Given that Edge and Beth Phoenix have now aced a pivotal chapter in their differences with The Judgment Day, what’s next for them? Well, at least Edge has a major showdown tonight in Ottawa. He’ll challenge Austin Theory for the United States Championship at the Canadian Tire Arena. But, there’s no certain direction for the wife of Rated-R Superstar. An update has emerged about Beth Phoenix’s actual designation on WWE’s internal documents.
According to Fightful Select, the Fabulous Firebird is currently unassigned and acts as a free agent. She was a member of the Raw roster until a while ago, however there’s no such documentation as of now. Also, there’s no indication on whether WWE has factored-in the 3 time Women’s Champion into their WrestleMania plans.
Beth Phoenix acknowledged Rhea Ripley after the Elimination Chamber
Barring the personal grudges inside of the squared circle, Beth Phoenix knows that Rhea Ripley is the future of this industry. She’s repeatedly praised her Elimination Chamber opponent in numerous interviews. Rightfully so, the Australian wrestler has all the required tools to escalate her career into the next orbit. Now, few hours after that hellacious mixed tag team showdown in Montreal, Phoenix has called the audible for Rhea Ripley.
The Glamazon took to her Twitter moments after the Elimination Chamber. In the tweet, she mentioned Ripley as the real deal. Also, Beth encouraged Rhea to now laser focus on her goal and capture the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania this year. As known, The Eradicator of the Judgment Day will look to apply brakes over Charlotte Flair. They’ve already got some stored history between themselves.
