REVEALED: Huge update over the status of Brock Lesnar in WWE following his massive return for the main event of Summerslam

Brock Lesnar is set to close out the show with Reigns at Summerslam

The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar unleashed his dominance when he took out Roman Reigns and his cousins The Usos after his return to the blue brand two weeks ago. Lesnar initially offered a handshake to Reigns when they came face to face but the moment Roman advanced his hands towards the Beast, he got vanquished by a massive F-5.

Following the show, WWE made a huge announcement regarding Roman Reigns’ Summerslam match and revealed that Reigns will defend his Undisputed Universal Championship in a Last Man Standing match in the main-event of Summerslam. The very next week both of them missed the Friday Night Smackdown taping.

But it looks like WWE is planning to pull all the brakes for this feud as they have scheduled Brock Lesnar for multiple shows in the lead-up to the biggest party of the Summer. Lesnar is currently advertised for two Smackdown tapings including the one on July 22nd in TD Garden, Boston and the next one on July 29th in State Farm Arena, Atlanta which will also serve as the go-home show for Summerslam. Additionally he is also scheduled for a Monday Night Raw appearance on July 11th at AT&T Centre, San Antonio. Although it’s always possible that WWE can add more dates in addition to these three to Brock Lesnar’s schedule.

As to no one’s omittion there has been a lot of fan complaint lately for WWE’s strategy of doing Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns match repeatedly , but they don’t put it on cards without a purpose. First and foremost this feud draws numbers for them as the Television Ratings and YouTube views featuring these two are a pure indicative of that.

Secondly, WWE was in dire need of someone credible as an opponent for Reigns after the unfortunate injuries to Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. Next, they have a big stadium to fill in for Summerslam so they had to book a huge match as the main-event of the show and they felt this match as their best option.
