Cody Rhodes becomes the only person to talk on the tribute shows for Brodie Lee and Bray Wyatt
In late 2020, the wrestling industry lost a great wrestler in the form of Jon Huber, who was known to WWE fans as Luke Harper and AEW fans as Brodie Lee. After his death, AEW hosted a tribute show for the former TBS champion in place of the next Dynamite. Cody Rhodes, who was working in AEW at the time, cut an emotional promo talking about his former rival, who squashed him for the championship.
On the latest episode of SmackDown, WWE hosted segments for Bray Wyatt where they honored his legacy. Cody Rhodes cut a promo on the show as well, talking about Wyatt. He also paid tribute to WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk, who passed away a few days ago. Funk was a close friend of Cody’s father, Dusty Rhodes.
However, this creates a unique record for the American Nightmare for being the only man to cut a promo on the tribute shows for both Brodie Lee and Bray Wyatt. Lee and Wyatt were best friends from their time together as The Wyatt Family almost a decade ago. Therefore, the two deaths have shocked fans.
