REVEALED: Former WWE Writer reveals why Asian Superstars weren’t promoted by Vince McMahon in the company
Vince McMahon in WWE
Vince McMahon announced his retirement from WWE on July 22nd amidst the investigation of $3 million Hush Money Settlement, which he allegedly paid to a former female employee to cover up their affair. Some NDA documents related to sexual harassment of different women were also unearthed during the investigation by WWE. It was later discovered that the entire sum was $12 million, of which $7 million was given to a former WWE diva who Mr. McMahon had forced to have an oral sex and was fired from the organization after she refused to have any more sex with him. The latest investigation states that Vince McMahon had also made personal payments totalling $19.6 million.
Vince McMahon is said to have paid the $12 million to four different women. Before announcing his retirement, Vince had resigned as CEO but had said he would still oversee the company’s content creation before announcing his retirement. Vince McMahon has been a divisive figure throughout his life, and his on-screen role of a cutthroat businessman resembles him in real life. Though he has offered several opportunities to wrestlers who are now famous, he has also used his cold-blooded personality to exploit the careers of other wrestlers.

Mick Foley reveals the aspect of Vince McMahon’s booking which he disliked
During the latest edition of Foley is Pod, Mick Foley discussed about Vince McMahon’s booking of wrestlers in the WWE. He said that Vince liked to make dreams come true in front of the crowds but he also used to put the crowds in an unnecessary ringer sometimes. Mick stated that he didn’t like the fact of making a Superstar lose in their home town in front of their crowd. Foley pointed out the time when Charlotte Flair won the championship at Sasha Banks’ hometown and vice versa.
Former WWE Writer Freddie Prinze Jr. has also spoken out on Vince McMahon’s booking of Asian WWE Superstars. Freddie said that it was a cultural ignorance and it is public, the fact that Vince McMahon always felt that of a superstar’s language isn’t English then the superstar will always be a heel and if it’s a baby face then Vince wanted them to be funny and goofy. Freddie pointed out that a lot of Japanese wrestlers were funny due to this fact.
“So it’s just a cultural ignorance, man. Vince always felt – and this is public – if English isn’t their first language, the American fan is always going to look at them as a heel and if they’re a baby face, they’re going to look at that – he wanted them to be like funny and goofy. I think that’s why. There was a lot of like goofy Mr. Moto when it came to Japanese wrestlers over here,” said the former writer.”
