Cody Rhodes and Paul Heyman’s promo was done too early, according to a former WWE Official

Cody Rhodes and Paul Heyman are two of the best storytellers, and they proved this on the latest episode of Raw. The segment between them added fuel to the rivalry for the main event of WrestleMania 39.

On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, Paul Heyman interrupted Cody Rhodes during a promo segment. Heyman appeared on Raw as the special council of The Tribal Chief to address the match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39. The segment between Rhodes and Heyman was pure gold, which the WWE Universe enjoyed. They went on a roller coaster of emotions. However, former WWE referee ‘Jimmy Korderas’ has different thoughts regarding the segment.

WWE official Jimmy Korderas, who was with the company for 22 years, believes the segment was done too early. It was just not the right time to present that incredible promo. According to him, WWE could have pulled off that segment on the episode of Raw after the Elimination Chamber. Moreover, he believes that would have been more apt since Cody’s path would have been clear by then. Korderas said, “The only thing was it shouldn’t have gone on last night before the Elimination Chamber because it done a great job promoting Sami Zayn vs Roman Reigns match at Elimination Chamber but now everyone’s looking past that and looking forward to Cody Rhodes.”

The segment between Paul Heyman and Cody Rhodes was perhaps one of the most incredible segments of all time. It had emotions and reminiscences of the past. The segment evoked a keen sense of pain and sadness, which Heyman, Cody, and the whole WWE Universe felt. However, Heyman inflated Cody’s ego a bit, and then he decided to destroy him and crush him with the heartbreaking line that Cody was Dusty’s favourite son, but Roman Reigns is the son he always wanted. This statement made Cody furious and added layers to their rivalry for the main event of WrestleMania.

However, Jimmy Korderas believes that this segment overshadowed Sami Zayn’s rivalry with the Tribal Chief. As a matter of fact, this incredible segment should have been performed once the feud between Sami and Reigns ended at the Elimination Chamber. According to new reports, the goal of Heyman and Rhodes’ incredible segment on last night’s RAW was to ensure that Cody’s WrestleMania program with Roman Reigns did not feel secondary to how hot Sami Zayn is right now.

Cody Rhodes to dethrone Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39?

Roman Reigns has been operating in ‘God Mode’ ever since winning the championship back in 2020. The Tribal Chief has been breaking records and surpassing legacies. However, The American Nightmare returned and won the Royal Rumble this year. He challenged Roman Reigns at the Grandest Stage of Them All. With Rhodes as the challenger, someone has for the first time put the Tribal Chief in jeopardy.

Cody Rhodes dethroning Roman Reigns and winning the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship would fulfill the prophecy of his late father, Dusty Rhodes. Dethroning Roman would give rise to one of the greatest moments of the modern era. WWE can make Cody Rhodes the next big star in the company.
