The rivalry between Cody Rhodes and the Bloodline just got heated as everybody threw personal insults at each other. The Rock was the latest to write a new chapter in this rivalry, as he insulted Rhodes and his family in his concert. The American Nightmare, however, was totally unaware of this fact. 

On the latest episode of SmackDown, The Rock returned with one of his iconic segments, ‘The Rock concert’. He even made his entrance with his famous Hollywood theme, dawning in his complete heel persona. The Brahma Bull wasn’t playing any games, as he mentioned Cody Rhodes‘ mother, Michelle Rubio, and said he was going to tear her son apart.

Rhodes wasn’t part of the main show, but he wrestled against Drew McIntyre and won the match. After the match, he talked to fans and playfully delivered the line that he doesn’t know what happened earlier today. Rhodes even gave a little fan a part of a broken table to take home and didn’t address what The Rock said about him at all.

On last week’s episode of Raw, the American Nightmare sent an emotional message to the WWE Universe. Rhodes said he was going to finish his story for his mother and his family. However, The Rock took it one step further and invited his mother to sit in the front row at WrestleMania 40 to watch her son get beat up.

Nic Nemeth expressed his opinion on the storyline involving Cody Rhodes in WWE

Cody Rhodes is one of the most talked about superstars in WWE right now. Every fan wants him to finish his story to finally win gold at WrestleMania. However, former WWE superstar Nic Nemeth, fka Dolph Ziggler, had few words to say about his story.

Nemeth spoke on the Busted Open podcast and shared his opinion on Rhodes’ story of winning the world championship. The 43-year-old said he doesn’t find any logic behind Rhodes’ motive for finishing his story. He even took a dig at him by saying that he came into WWE because of his father, Dusty Rhodes, and not because of his talent. 

How many times he gets to go to main event and come back and not get it? Look, I appreciate this two years story, I really do. I just think it's so funny that finishing the story is like.. no, he has to win just because his dad wasn't able to. That's the story?

Nemeth further added that not only Rhodes, but every superstar had their struggles and reached where they are right now. He was released from WWE last year in September, and since then he has been wrestling for companies like NJPW and TNA. The veteran even found instant success as he defeated David Finlay to become the new IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion.
