WWE Universe was introduced to a new style of competition show named WWE Speed. The show began with an 8-man tournament to crown the first-ever WWE Speed Champion. Ricochet took no time to showcase his high-flying skills and defeated Dragon Lee in the first match of the tournament. 

WWE Speed is a unique show in which a superstar will only be given a time limit of 3 minutes to defeat their opponents. In the first round, Ricochet and Dragon Lee engaged in fast-paced action, with both superstars countering each other’s moves. Finally, The One and Only defeated the newest member of L.W.O. with only three seconds to spare, thanks to Recoil.

In the other bracket, ‘BIG’ Bronson Reed squashed his opponent, Cedric Alexander, in just 70 seconds to advance to the next round. The other superstars in the bracket have not been announced as of yet. However, the sole commentator on the show, Corey Graves, announced that JD McDonagh and Axiom would face off on next week’s episode of WWE Speed.

The One and Only finally found his rhythm, defeating stars like McDonagh, Dominik Mysterio, and Ivar recently. As he advances to the next round, he has his eyes set on the new WWE Speed title. Fans liked the concept of fast-paced matches and described it as a breath of fresh air. The show will air every week of the year on X. 

Ricochet expressed his thoughts about the danger of Judgment Day looming over him

Judgment Day has proved to the WWE Universe why no one should mess with them over the past couple of years. However, Ricochet turned out to be a puzzle they couldn’t solve. After the notable wins over Dom Dom and JD McDonagh, The One and Only talked about being on the notorious faction’s radar.

After the victory over Ivar on the latest episode of Raw, the 35-year-old gave an interview backstage. At first, he talked about his goal of winning the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale next Friday. However, when the interviewer asked him about being on the bad side of Judgment Day, his answer was quite confident. 

To be honest, I didn't really think about it like that but, if you're worried about the people that you've beaten, you're really not gonna survive in this company. Actually, that kinda makes it more fun for me. Being on the disadvantage makes it more fun for Ricochet, because his whole career, he's been at the disadvantage.

The One and Only will participate in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale on the upcoming episode of SmackDown. It will be interesting to see whether he adds another accolade to his legacy against all the odds or whether Judgment Day has planned a different fate for him.
