Friday Night SmackDown emanated from the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. A show dedicated to building momentum for the upcoming PLE, it saw a massive main event. Despite a great showdown, it was the ending that caught everyone’s attention- Solo Sikoa getting powerbombed through the table!

What made the moment noteworthy was the nature of its execution. It was The Shield’s signature Triple Powerbomb finishing move on the table. It was performed by none other than the three opponents slated for Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble 2024.

While LA Knight stood to hold Solo on his shoulders, it was Randy Orton and AJ Styles, who heaved Solo in the air. It was a statement-making move. It could be said to have been essential to grab the Head of the Table’s attention. Moreover, it could also be seen as evening the odds by Reigns’ opponents, who have been long tormented by the Bloodline.

For the unversed, Reigns is scheduled to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a Fatal-4-way match at the Royal Rumble. It would be the first time since the Tribal Chief faced such big odds against his title reign. It would be interesting to see whether the Tribal Chief will be able to settle the turbulence with the Great One at the back of his mind.

Possible update on The Rock regarding a Royal Rumble appearance

Ever since The Rock uttered his desire to sit at the Head of the Table, the wrestling community is abuzz with speculations. With the Royal Rumble PLE around the corner, fans are creating several speculations. One of which remains, what if the Great One might enter the 30-man Royal Rumble match? It seems Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Radio Observer recently came across some piece of information about the Great One.

Meltzer stated how the Great One has been in the discussion in the past for several Royal Rumbles. However, there have been no updates regarding his appearance in Royal Rumble 2024. However, with reports of him not traveling to Australia, Royal Rumble is the only PLE left before WrestleMania.

The Brahma Bull needs no validation to extend a challenge. However, one can’t rule out his spirit of proving himself against the current talent pool. However, with the likes of Cody Rhodes being in the match, The Rock wouldn’t want his entry to generate boos like it did for Batista in 2014. It will be interesting to see what plans the company has in store for him.
