Released by WWE in March 2021, Andrade made a name for himself in its rival promotion AEW. He had a great career in NXT when he was a NXT Champion and even entered the Royal Rumble 2018. Tony Khan had announced that Andrade had severed ties with the AEW. The move to WWE made more sense, as his wife Charlotte Flair is a mainstay in WWE.

Andrade joined WWE in November 2015, signing a developmental contract. Debuting in NXT as Manny Andrade, he later became Andrade “Cien” Almas and won the NXT Championship in November 2017. His success led to a move to SmackDown in 2018, engaging in feuds with Sin Cara, AJ Styles, and Rusev. Transitioning to Raw in 2019, Andrade won the United States Championship in December. He defended the title against Rey Mysterio but was suspended in January 2020 for a Wellness Policy violation.

Andrade formed a tag team with Angel Garza, but setbacks led to its dissolution. His final WWE match occurred in October 2020 on Raw. In March 2021, he requested and was granted his release from WWE.

The journey encompassed highs like winning the NXT Championship and the United States Championship, but also challenges, including a suspension and the dissolution of tag teams. Andrade’s departure marked the end of a chapter in his wrestling career. His return offers him a fresh start to redefine his WWE journey.
