The company gave Kurt a champion gimmick in which he proudly says that he represented his country and even won a gold medal in the process. Kurt usually had his whole gimmick all around the Olympics and even has named his finishing move The Olympic Slam.

Kurt Angle usually picked his opponent on an underarm headlock position from where he takes an arc in the ring and slams his opponent as hard as he could. The finisher in the starting looked devastating and even was getting a lot of cheers from the fans the only problem was its name.

As Olympics when get to know that WWE is using their name they sends a huge notice strictly prohibiting the use of the name “Olympic” as they have copyrighted the name to themselves and the company have to pay a lot of fines if they file a lawsuit against them and if they took the matter to the court.

WWE immediately took action against this even apologizing for their mistake and later ordering Kurt to change his finishing move’s name to The Angle Slam. Kurt later even did not use the move frequently as he changed his wrestling style to a submission master where he uses the Ankle Hold which even got him the World Championship in WWE.
