The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns is operating on a God level right now. Although it looks like the luster of Reigns on SmackDown has been stolen by The Rock, one cannot forget his remarkable run. His decade-long career, along with the success of his current gimmick, has brought him a total of 999 victories.

According to Cagematch, Reigns has wrestled 1366 matches in his career since 2010. Out of them, he emerged victorious in 999 of them, with the recent win at Royal Rumble 2024. This significant record has brought him to one of the biggest moments of his career, pushing him to his 1000th win.

The Tribal Chief has his next match, in fact, ‘matches’ scheduled for WrestleMania 40. On Night 1 of Mania, he will team up with The Rock to take down Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Only if The Bloodline wins the tag team match will the battle between Reigns and Rhodes on the next night be held under the Bloodline rules stipulation. This factor will strengthen Reigns’ chances to retain his title.

There are more chances of the heel team’s victory, as it will be a win-win situation from then on. First of all, The Rock will come out stronger and use his heel persona to interfere on Night 2 of Mania. Secondly, Reigns is anyway making history with most WrestleMania main events of all time; thus, the 1000th win of his career shall also add to his list of feats. Last but not least, the potential Cody Rhodes‘ victory on Night 2 will feel larger after going through the entirety of Bloodline.

The possibility for WrestleMania Night 1 main event

It is quite clear that The Bloodline saga will take over the main events of WrestleMania 40, just like last year. Even that structure bears resemblance to a tag team match on Night 1 and an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship bout on Night 2. However, the stakes have been raised this time due to its twists.

The stipulation for the tag team match between The Bloodline vs. Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins makes it more interesting. As the match progresses, we might see equal give-and-take from both teams, only to make them look stronger. The Rock will share heated moments with Cody and will obliterate him in the ring.

However, it is most likely that The Bloodline will emerge victorious, with Rhodes taking the pinfall. This loss might affect the face team momentarily, but it will surely add flavor to Night 2’s main event. The scenario then will see The Bloodline rule next night, while they expect the same result as last year.

The possibility for WrestleMania Night 2 main event

A match that has shaped the entire workings of WWE will be the main event for WrestleMania 40 Night 2. On paper, what could have been the biggest WrestleMania match of all time, was taken down by WWE Universe. Instead, they replaced The Great One with The American Nightmare to face The Tribal Chief.

The Bloodline Rules match will favor Reigns to a greater extent due to his family’s backing. Rock, Solo Sikoa, and probably Jimmy Uso will be heavily involved in the course of this match. In this rematch from WrestleMania 39, a moment will surely replicate the moment when Rhodes suffered the wrath of a Samoan Spike. However, a year’s worth of resilience has made Rhodes worthy to kick out of it.

There will be a lot of theories made around the perfect end for WrestleMania. In fact, there are multiple angles to culminate the year-long buildup of Reigns and Rhodes. However, on the 40th anniversary of WrestleMania, and in front of nearly 70,000 people, WWE would not risk it all by making Roman retain. In all likelihood, this time it will be The American Nightmare who will overcome the adversities and finish his story.
