Sasha Banks impacted female wrestling more than anyone else possibly. She was an integral part of women’s evolution in the company which started off having motive to put more time for women on television. We are well aware of the lacking female presentation WWE had during the Divas era. There were alleged tensions between those superstars digging ways to earn their chance.

Banks was a part of the history triple-threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship featuring Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and herself in the fray. That night at Wrestlemania 32, the term “Divas” was eradicated from WWE forever and a new “Women’s” champion was crowned. The Queen got the better of the lot and bagged the title.

The most important key in Sasha Bank’s wrestling career is WWE Hall of Famer William Regal. The former King of the Ring was instrumental in shaping up The Boss into what she’s become today. He first met Banks when she was only 18 and sat with her answering some of her questions.

Regal was very high on Sasha the day he came in close contact with her. He even revealed his desperation to sign Sasha Banks with WWE for the kind of talent she really is. Regal was ready to fight for her with Vince McMahon and other key higher-ups and had quoted that they can fire him, given that Banks turned out a failure for WWE.

There’s only four people that I have ever gone to Mr. McMahon or to Triple H with whom I have said I put my reputation on. I put my job on the line once for Sasha Banks. She was somebody I went because I knew her, and my first thing on the job was to hire this lady. I said, ‘If it doesn’t work out, you can fire me.’ She’s not one of them. That was a separate thing.”
