WrestleMania 40 ticket sales break WWE’s all-time gate record in one day: Reports

WrestleMania 40 ticket sales officially began on August 18, and it has broken the all-time gate record, surpassing WrestleMania 39. According to a report from Darren Rovell, WWE has sold more than 90,000 tickets for both nights in just a few hours, reaching a record high. The record set by WrestleMania 39 was a whopping $21.5 million in ticket sales.
This week’s pre-sale was quite successful for WWE. WrestleMania 40 will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2024, and Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA. Breaking the all-time gate record this early is a really big achievement for WWE and shows the fans’ excitement for The Showcase of The Immortals
WrestleMania 39 is arguably one of the best WrestleMania in recent history. It is also one of the most viewed WrestleMania in WWE history accumulating around 500 million views over the two days. There was a 42 percent increase in ticket sales compared to the sales for WrestleMania 38. This year’s Mania has already started to surpass records.
WrestleMania 40 is going to feature some amazing storylines, like Cody Rhodes’ redemption arc and the elevation of Gunther to the main event scene. LA Knight is also on the rise, and WWE might have some huge things for him. WrestleMania 40 has already started to break records, and it will be interesting to see what it has in store.

With WrestleMania a few months away, the rumors have already started to fill the air. The main event of Night Two is rumored to have Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Title. WWE could be planning this to have The American Nightmare finish his unfinished story.
Another notable match that is rumored to culminate at The Showcase of The Immortals next year is between Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso. The Bloodline saga is a masterpiece, and the “brother vs brother” match could take things to a whole new level. Another match which is rumored to take place is for the Intercontinental Title match between Gunther and Brock Lesnar.
Wrestlemania 40 is still seven months away and there is still plenty of time to build up storylines and set up matches. The WWE Universe believes that it will surpass Wrestlemania 39 in terms of records and matches.
