Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler took on NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn for both titles. The former UFC fighters defeated the NXT Champions. However, the fans are not happy with the decision and expressed their disappointment.

Fyre and Dawn were drafted to SmackDown in the 2023 WWE Draft as a main roster call-up. They debuted on SmackDown with their NXT titles and directly confronted Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler. The two teams faced off against each other in an episode of SmackDown. As a result, a title unification match was announced for an upcoming episode of SmackDown.

The teams clashed on the latest episode of SmackDown for the title unification match. However, after a decent match, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler emerged victorious. They became the unified Women’s Tag Team Champions. However, the fans criticized WWE’s decision. They wanted the two young talents to shine on the main roster.

Fans believe that it was pointless for Fyre and Dawn to come up to SmackDown with their titles only to lose them to Rousey and Baszler. The former NXT superstars have impressed the WWE Universe in the Yellow Brand. However, their main roster run started on a bad note as they faced defeat and lost their titles as well.

After the match, Raquel Rodriguez came down to the ring and asked for a match for the titles that she never lost. She was joined by a returning Liv Morgan, who was her partner before she got injured recently. It looks like this will be the next feud for the new champions moving forward. On the other hand, fans have been expressing their resentment for making the former NXT stars lose on SmackDown.

According to the fans, it does not make any sense to call up the young champions from NXT and have them lose in their main roster run.
