WWE seemingly confirms Dwayne Johnson’s potential match at WrestleMania XL in a brand-new teaser trailer

On the heels of a groundbreaking press conference in Las Vegas, WWE continues to follow up big. As such, Dwayne Johnson urged the WWE universe to revel in the glory. WWE might’ve just confirmed the match the Black Adam star is going to be in at WrestleMania XL. In a newly-surfaced teaser trailer for the wrestling rendezvous in Philadelphia, Roman Reigns and The Rock could be seen walking towards Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
The tagline said that the world is on notice. Barring any major swerve, it seems like WWE is heading towards a tag team match between the four exponents. The WrestleMania XL presser in Sin City was a home run. Initially, Rock and Reigns appeared to be a done deal for WrestleMania. But just in the nick of time, Cody Rhodes entered the fray. After a tumultuous week, The American Nightmare finally picked Roman Reigns.
Rhodes even broached the topic of how the Samoan ancestors would’ve been ashamed of Roman had they been alive. Afterward, The Rock stepped in and told Cody that he had made it personal with The Great One too. Johnson then slapped Rhodes, only for others to intervene. Seth Rollins was there the entire time and was incensed at The Rock for laying his hands on Cody.
Roman and Rock did some bad-mouthing that had to be beeped while Rollins and Cody were ready to duke it out then and there. Many fans have predicted that they’re on a collision course. Though not set in stone, the said tag team showdown could headline the first night in Philly.
Dwayne Johnson’s WrestleMania matchup could be set on SmackDown
This coming Friday, The Rock and Roman Reigns come back to SmackDown. Last week, Triple H kicked off the show and addressed the whirlwind turn of events at the Vegas presser. He confirmed that Roman Reigns will defend his gold against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania.
Further, The Game took a jab at Dwayne Johnson after saying that it doesn’t matter if some people don’t like that decision. The WWE CCO asserted his authority and said he calls the shots in WWE. This must have displeased The Rock immensely.
Earlier, he had asked Hunter to fix the situation, and pitting Rhodes against his cousin at Mania wouldn’t fascinate him. Things are expected to go down in a big way in the coming week.
