An injury can hold up anything. Same happened with The Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai last week. Due to a suspected knee injury, she’s temporarily sidelined. As a result, WWE’s original plans to have the Bayley led trio go up against Trish Stratus, Lita and Becky Lynch at the Elimination Chamber got scrapped.

As first reported by WRKD Wrestling on Twitter, WWE contacted Stratus to make an appearance on Raw this week in Brooklyn. This would’ve helped in setting up an eventual 6-woman tag team match in Montreal. However, Kai suffered an unfortunate last minute tweak to get plans canceled. For those who were left disappointed after not having Canada’s Greatest Export on Raw, a positive update has emerged.

According to Dave Meltzer on his Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the aforementioned match is not scheduled for tomorrow’s show in Montreal. As of the moment, the working plans for Damage CTRL are not clear. With Lita & Stratus in the works, the heelish trio might’ve to pull a double-duty at WrestleMania 39. At first, they’re slated to defend the Women’s Tag-Team Titles against Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler.

Moving onto the bigger stuff, the Trish Stratus angle which was taken off due to an injury scare, is not completely dead. WWE plans on revisiting their original plans somewhere down the road. By the looks, the high-profile showdown between all six women can still happen. The creative needs to figure out a way to possibly jettison Kai and SKY off those Tag-Team straps way before Mania, if they’re planning to move forward with the impending return of Trish Stratus.

She’s nearing her 50s, but no one can tell that just by looking at her. Despite being a mother, Stratus borrows good time to keep her body in shape. Call it foresight or self-esteem, Trish always stays ready for unexpected challenges in her life. She recently worked Canada’s Got Talent as a judge too.

With such in-built superwoman traits, the WWE Hall of Famer recently shared her grueling workout on Instagram. Maybe deep inside she knows, one day or the other, she has to plot her comeback to WWE. For the first time in years, things are looking absolutely bright for the Attitude Era veteran to compete at The Showcase of the Immortals.
