CM Punk made his return to the Survivor Series after nine long years. With his return, fans have already started making a list of dream matches he could have with his opponents. Now, reports have surfaced claiming WWE is planning a dream match for CM Punk at WrestleMania for the first time.

Fightful Select reports that, backstage, many people have liked the idea of a potential WrestleMania match between Punk and WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin. They are pretty confident their dream match could turn into reality. Additionally, Punk and WWE also discussed many ideas for his run in the company, and the match with Steve Austin was one of them, meaning Austin and Punk could really be in the same ring at the Biggest Stage of Them All.

Austin returned to in-ring action when he fought and defeated Kevin Owens in a street fight in the main event of WrestleMania 38 Night 1. The legendary star was in great shape and had a great performance in an amazing match with the Owens.

Since then, Austin has not been seen in WWE. As of now, Austin has shown no interest in getting back to the ring again, but a project against a star like Punk could convince him to have one final match. Punk and Austin once met in a backstage segment, and fans already felt intense chemistry between them. But after Punk left, it became one of the biggest ‘what ifs’ in WWE history. It will be interesting to see what roadblocks The Best in the World will face on the road to Wrestlemania.

Kiss gave an interview on WrestlingNewsCo and was asked about Punk signing with WWE and her interactions with him during her time in AEW. She praised Punk and revealed he was very kind when they first met. Kiss believes his joining the company will be a good thing for both Punk and WWE, given that Punk is a polarizing figure and always generates revenue.

"Like I said, he's been nice to me. The first day I saw he came to AEW, he said I want to be respectful of you so how do I address you and things like that. He was very kind to me and yeah I think that's amazing for him, so good for him, that's so cool. He's very polarizing in pro wrestling, but, you know, I think Cody said it best- what's good for business is what's good for business. If he's going to elevate the company, why not?"

Sonny Kiss is currently wrestling in Impact Wrestling and said she had a good time working in AEW. Punk has reportedly signed the WWE contract with a rare behavior clause to make sure the incident that happened in AEW never happens again.
