At SummerSlam in 2020, Roman Reigns made his shocking WWE return with a brand new character. He eventually won the Universal Championship a week later by aligning himself with Paul Heyman. After smashing every challenger for over a year, Roman also won the WWE title to become the undisputed WWE Universal champion. The Tribal Chief recently surpassed the 900+ day milestone with his ongoing title reign as well. Roman is set to defend the Undisputed title in the main event of WrestleMania this year.
After countless title defenses, Roman Reigns has been challenged by the 2023 men’s Rumble match winner, Cody Rhodes. As per the speculations, The American Nightmare could be the man to finally dethrone the Tribal Chief at the Grandest Stage. However, a recent report suggests that WWE is not looking to strip Roman of the titles anytime soon.
According to the report, the Head of the Table is scheduled to compete in almost every PLEs following WrestleMania 39. The report stated that Roman is scheduled to have a match at Summerslam. Nonetheless, WWE is currently working on Roman competing at Backlash as well. He is reportedly also set to travel to Saudi Arabia on May 27, however, no information on his match as of now.
As per reports, apart from Backlash, WWE is working on Roman to perform in the month of June this year as well. Considering the report, the Tribal Chief might be retaining his titles at the Show of Shows. If the report gets confirmed, there is no point in Reigns competing at continuous events following WrestleMania without the titles. Nevertheless, fans should stay tuned for WWE’s official announcements going forward.

Potential direction for Roman Reigns following WrestleMania 39
Roman Reigns will be headlining WrestleMania for the seventh time in his career. The Tribal Chief is set to square off against Cody Rhodes to defend his Undisputed Championship at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Fans will have to wait to find out if Cody is the man to finally capture the titles from Roman. If that will be the case, Reigns would possibly go for a rematch and most likely be involved in The Bloodline storyline following the Show of Shows.
However, if Roman will be retaining the titles, he might compete against other challengers moving forward. The report revealing Reigns to be present at every following PLE until Summerslam makes more sense if he holds on to the titles even after WrestleMania 39.
