WWE teases former Women’s Champion to be Becky Lynch’s next challenger for NXT Women’s Championship on Raw

It hasn’t even been a month since Becky Lynch clinched the NXT Women’s Championship. Regardless, The Man is on an unstoppable tear with open challenges, regular title defenses, dark matches etc. She is not holding back from delivering one after another classic to the fans. That said, it appears that the champ has now invited former NXT Women’s Champion Indi Hartwell for a fight.

This past Saturday, Becky Lynch collided with Tiffany Stratton in a hard-hitting Extreme Rules match at NXT No Mercy. The winner of this match was scheduled to face Tegan Nox on Raw last night. While Lynch managed to retain the NXT Women’s Championship, she ended up getting laceration in her arm during the physical bout. As a result, she was not medically cleared to compete against Nox this week.

In a digital exclusive clip by WWE, Indi Hartwell was seen taking a picture of Becky Lynch’s NXT Women’s Championship. A weirded-out Lynch asked her what she was doing with her title. Hartwell said, “Taking a photo of something I never lost.” The Man retorted by stating that she is not a hard woman to find.

Furthermore, she invited the 27-year-old to NXT if she wanted a title shot against her. Hartwell replied, “May be I’ll come around tomorrow,” using Lynch’s own catchphrase against her. It remains to be seen whether Indi Hartwell steps up to face The Man on NXT this week or not. If she indeed shows up on the Gold brand, it will mark Becky’s third title defense in a span of three weeks.

In a digital exclusive clip shared by WWE, Indi Hartwell was seen backstage clicking pictures of Becky Lynch’s NXT title on the latest edition of Monday Night Raw. Nevertheless, it was not the first time Hartwell was fiddling around with The Man’s prestigious title. A few days ago, she shared a photo of Becky’s title on her social media.

The former NXT Women’s Champion took to her Instagram story to share a picture of the title. This week, Lynch caught Hartwell backstage snapping pictures of her title without her consent. Hartwell casually said she was just taking pictures of the title she never lost.

The 27-year-old won the NXT Women’s Championship in a six-woman ladder match at NXT Stand & Deliver. Unfortunately, she was injured during the match, keeping her out of action for weeks. Later, she was called up to the main roster. As a result, she had to relinquish the title in 31 days.

Indi Hartwell never actually lost the title to anyone. It will be interesting to see if she accepts Becky’s invitation and captures the NXT title for a second time. The two women have a lot of potential and can deliver an incredible match.
