After putting Dillon Danis in his place, Logan Paul is back as a WWE superstar. He has already booked a ticket to Riyadh, as he’ll challenge Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship at Crown Jewel. The betting odds favor The Maverick, and he may very well end up taking that title off Mysterio. The social media megastar encountered a familiar face on SmackDown this week.

It was none other than Kevin Owens, as both looked dead into each other’s eyes. It could be a tease of what’s to come in the future, with both superstars already having a history. Kevin could be Logan’s first major opponent if the social media megastar gets past Rey Mysterio next Saturday. It may sound unreal, but Logan Paul is closing in on his first title win in WWE.

Kevin Owens, recently traded to SmackDown, is looking to get back to winning ways as soon as possible. He had a successful run as a tag team with Sami Zayn, and it’s time for Owens to return to singles competition. Hours before this week’s show, BWE also noted that there are early discussions of a potential Logan Paul vs. Kevin Owens feud at some point. WWE added fuel to the fire with the segment this week on SmackDown.

If done properly, this feud will throw it out of the park. Owens is a natural connoisseur on the mic, and who could ever doubt his wrestling? He’s someone who may have Logan Paul on his knees. However, The Maverick possesses his own set of skills to impress the WWE Universe. With everything he’s had thus far, Logan has proven that he belongs to where he’s gotten.

Logan Paul and Rey Mysterio set for weigh-in next week

Before even thinking of getting into a Logan Paul and Kevin Owens feud, there is a hiccup. The boxer-turned-wrestler needs to overcome a talismanic luchador before even dreaming of more. Last time, when Rey and Paul were in the ring together, it was WrestleMania 38. Back then, Dominik and Rey were together. But things have changed over the years.

Next week, on the final stop before Crown Jewel, Paul and Mysterio will have a weigh-in. As for yesterday, the 28-year-old did manage to launch a blindsided attack on the WWE HOF’er. It would be interesting if Rey Mysterio could fight back and get some momentum on his side next Friday.

Next week’s episode of SmackDown is already taped, and the spoilers should be out soon. Nonetheless, the United States Championship match at Crown Jewel might be the one to steal the night in Riyadh. It needs to be seen how The Maverick fares against The Biggest Little Man in WWE history.
