The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, has been the biggest draw for the promotion. His humongous reign has now surpassed 1232 days, the longest since 1988. The leader of The Bloodline is busy making history, while the fans are agitated due to his lack of appearances and title defenses. A news report that will further fuel this fire states Roman’s absence at their upcoming international events.
It was reported earlier that Reigns would not be making his presence known at the Elimination Chamber in Perth. The event scheduled at Optus Stadium in front of nearly 60000 fans will miss The Tribal Chief’s aura. And now, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has stated that he will not be working at the Backlash event in France this May. Two of the major WWE shows in 2024 have not scheduled the top champion.

Roman’s absence in Australia may prove costly as they build him towards WrestleMania 40. It is expected that Reigns will face The Rock at Chamber or Mania. Both being predictable bouts for the WWE Universe might also be the biggest draw for the booming WWE business. But if the reports turn out to be true, then Reigns has to go through The Great One at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
Adding Cody Rhodes to the entire mix, the decision in which he will be heading will be decided at Royal Rumble 2024. The possibilities of him winning the 30-man Rumble are huge, as the fans would like to witness him ‘finish his story’ at Mania. To do that, he has to face The Head of the Table for the second year in a row and possibly take him down after a tiring reign, which is facing extreme heat now.
WWE Universe agonizes over Roman Reigns missing Backlash France
The hottest period of wrestling has brought unpredictability to WWE. With two straight-up matches for Roman Reigns to head into WrestleMania 40, it looks flawless now. But the schedule before and after the Mania looks pretty unstable for The Tribal Chief. Reigns is not scheduled for the Elimination Chamber Perth 2024 or the next PLE, Backlash France 2024.

WWE Universe has come together to criticize Reigns’ booking as the promotion’s top champion. With the historic Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, Roman is still unclear about appearing at their international shows. The comments on Roman’s ‘workless’ reign have been tormenting the fans.
As of now, the plans see Reigns defending his championship in a Fatal-4 Way match at Royal Rumble 2024. The Viper Randy Orton, amongst the three other opponents, looks like a viable option. While The Phenomenal One, AJ Styles, and The Megastar, LA Knight, will play out greatly for the high-stakes bout.
