WWE veteran calls out The Rock for not fully acknowledging Roman Reigns and hinting at a massive betrayal on SmackDown
WWE veteran calls out The Rock for overlooking Roman Reigns, foreshadowing a SmackDown betrayal.
The Rock (via X)
One of the most historic episodes of SmackDown has concluded. The Bloodline arrived on the scene to assert dominance as always. Roman Reigns proudly welcomed his cousin, The Rock, on the brand he helped create. Rock took shots at the WWE Universe while explaining why Cody Rhodes does not deserve to finish the story. A gesture by The Great One caught the eyes of fans that seemed quite odd.
Bully Ray or Bubba Ray Dudley to the WWE Universe took to X to share his thoughts about the incredible moment. Ray pointed out the hand sign that The Brahma Bull dod was unlike how The Bloodline does. By their iconic hand sign, they refer to themselves as “The Ones”. The Rock’s sign did not match the signs of Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Paul Heyman, or Jimmy Uso, but rather displayed an L rather than a 1.
According to Ray, he was not acknowledging the Head of the Table properly. This sparked suspicion of The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment possibly turning his back on his family. The People’s Champion’s integration into The Bloodline seems suspect as he struggles to correctly mimic their hand signs.
Another moment that caught the attention of the WWE Universe was the 51-year-old superstar’s pointing toward the Undisputed Champion amid the promo. When the member of the board talked about making sure that Cody would walk out of WrestleMania as a loser, he pointed at The Tribal Chief.
The Rock breaks character after SmackDown goes off the air
When the Hollywood actor arrived on SmackDown, he revived his “Hollywood Rock” character. As soon as Rock got a microphone he started taking shots at the WWE Universe. He called all the people garbage and fat-shamed one fan. Although fans appreciate his heel work, some fans fired back for calling one fan fat.
After SmackDown went off the air, Flex Kavana was seen shaking hands with fans and interacting with them which is unlike a heel’s work. It looks like despite being a heel, the highest-paid actor could not help but soak in the moment. Rock is enjoying what seems to be his final run in the WWE.
It will be interesting to see how The Rock helps Reigns pick up the victory against The American Nightmare. Despite the veteran having joined his cousins in The Bloodline, he has sowed the seeds for a future betrayal. Only time will tell whether the wrestler-turned-actor-turned-executive will help Reigns or Rhodes at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
