Zelina Vega has returned to the WWE since her injury in May of this year. Vega has joined the stable Legado Del Fantasma, and they recently defeated Hit Row on an episode of SmackDown.
Vega has replaced Elektra Lopez, who initially was the manager of the group. It is unsure whether Zelina Vega will pursue her solo career or not, but we would sure love to see her perform again. Zelina’s last known bout came in April, and since then she hasn’t fought in any of the matches.
Zelina Vega has fought for the women’s championship just twice in her career, which was against Asuka in 2020. She fought against Asuka at the Clash of the Championships in 2020 but failed to win the title. Zelina Vega was part of the MITB ladder match in 2021 but failed to win the match.
She has been a one-time tag team champion with Carmella and the inaugural winner of the Queen’s tournament, after which she embodied the Queen gimmick. Zelina needs to showcase her talent more often and needs to get involved in feuds with the big names in the company.
Nonetheless, we are excited to watch what she accomplishes next. Zelina recently discussed Ronda Rousey during a visit to Busted Open. She stated that while Rousey is undeniably frightening, she lacks intelligence.
“No shock to anybody that she’s a scary woman, but there’s braun and there’s brains, and I don’t know that she has the second one,”
Zelina Vega speaks about getting the push in WWE
In the same interview, Zelina Vega discussed her recent push and becoming the inaugural winner of the WWE’s Queen’s Tournament. She stated that she had the courage to pull off the Queen persona, and she is currently using it in her current WWE stint as the manager of Legado Del Fantasma.
Zelina said that WWE had been unaware of her skill for a long time and that she had requested the opportunity, stating that if she failed, they should disregard her. She claims that the corporation must now trust individuals and give them a chance to see what happens.
