Nikki Bella reveals her plans after winning Royal Rumble

Bella

Nikki Bella is considered to be one of the most popular WWE Superstars. Now part of the WWE Hall of Fame, Bella was signed by WWE way back in 2007 – along with her twin sister, Brie. The siblings were jointly known as The Bella Twins. Nikki debuted on the main roster in 2008 and also holds the record for the longest Divas Championship reign – 301 days.

Nikki is a two -time Divas Champion, but her stint as a professional wrestler came to screeching halt in 2019. A cyst had been found in her brain – which ended her career as an in-ring performer. But WWE had a massive surprise in store which they revealed on an episode of Smackdown. Several former Superstars of the company – Nikki Bella, Lita and Mickie James, among others were returning for the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

On a recent episode of her podcast, The Bellas Podcast, Nikki discussed her plans if she went on to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match. While usually the winner heads for the top Championship of a brand – Raw, Smackdown or NXT Women’s Championship, one half of the Bella Twins has got other plans in mind.

“And then there’s the tag titles, because I would kinda like to be the first ever winner of the Royal Rumble to kinda give the middle finger to both champions and go ‘I want the tag titles.’ How bad**s would that be? Would I not just be the coolest person to go down in history,” Nikki said.

Nikki Bella was recently cleared by her neurosurgeon to return to action. It has been quite some time since the WWE Universe last saw Nikki in action. Her neurosurgeon, Dr. Juan Santiago uribe took to Instagram, to commend Bella for fighting through and making a return. “Everyone will see you fighting on TV, but I’ve seen you fighting (and winning!) to get back in that ring. Thanks for your loyalty and support @thenikkibella #sonntagspinecenter #neurosurgery #spinesurgery #acdf #bellaarmy #wwe,” wrote Uribe on Instagram.

While Nikki has revealed that she would be going after the Tag Team Championship rather than the singles titles – many might find it surprising that she has never held the Women’s Tag Team Championship. The titles are currently held by Queen Zelina and Carmella.
