“ABSOLUTELY No Desire”: Paul Heyman discusses potential Hall of Fame Induction

Heyman

Paul Heyman is one of the most creative minds in the entire professional wrestling industry. He  has been in the business for decades and was the owner of Extreme Championship Wrestling. Prior to this, he was an on-screen manager on World Championship Wrestling. At the start of the 2000s, Heyman became a commentator on WWE (then known as WWF).

Often considered to have the best mic skills in the entire industry, he currently serves as the Special Counsel to the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Apart from him, Heyman has served as the manager to 5 other WWE Champions – The Big Show, Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, CM Punk and Brock Lesnar.

Since the last couple of years, Paul Heyman is seen right by the side of the Tribal Chief. Things took an interesting turn, when Brock Lesnar was added to the mix. Heyman was at his best – first turning on Reigns and then double-crossing the Beast Incarnate.

Undoubtedly, Paul Heyman is one of the most popular and creative forces behind the entire industry. A WWE Hall of Fame induction somewhere down the line is inevitable. In a recent interview with 101 WRIF, the Special Counsel revealed his opinion about a possible Hall of Fame induction.

“I have absolutely no desire to go into the Hall of Fame. Well, I am the ‘Special Counsel’ to ‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns. I’m putting together a Hall of Fame run simply based on what we do as. The Undisputed Champion right now, let alone everything else that has been accomplished beforehand. So while we’re in the middle of this run, it would make no sense for me to go into the Hall of Fame,” mentioned Heyman.

The association between the Tribal Chief and Paul Heyman began around Payback 2020. Back then they aimed for the Universal Championship – they achieved it. They wanted to become the greatest Universal Champion – they achieved it. At Wrestlemania 38, they went one step further when Roman Reigns became the Unified WWE Universal Champion.

This primarily means that they have conquered everything that there practically is to conquer. But Heyman revealed in a recent Instagram post, that they have only gotten started. And their “ambitions cannot be contained”.
