Since his eyebrow-raising return at WWE Bad Blood last Saturday, everyone’s wondering what’s next for The Rock. An update has now emerged pertaining to his in-ring return. As per WrestleVotes via his ‘Backstage Pass Q&A’, a triple-threat match featuring The Final Boss, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes is on the table. It was stressed that WWE has yet to finalize on those plans.

The Road to WrestleMania 41 is still almost three months away. Having said that, WWE has enough time to weigh in their options as to whether the aforementioned three-way showdown would indeed close out the night in Las Vegas or not. The idea of having Rock, Roman, and Cody in the same match is something that’s been floating around in backstage circles for a while.

Moreover, one might now relate to Rock’s cryptic message from Bad Blood, where he just stood on the stage, counted up to 3, and walked back. It seems as if he were foreshadowing what WWE has in mind. Just days before the Bad Blood PLE, Cody Rhodes joined The Pat McAfee Show.

Somewhere in the episode, he alluded to next year’s WrestleMania main event being bigger than anyone would’ve anticipated. Previous reports had suggested that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was lined up for a one-on-one matchup with The American Nightmare. That would’ve left Roman Reigns off the equation.

However, WWE’s prima facie think tank is on board to incorporate all three men in the same storyline. At this year’s WrestleMania, it was Rhodes who overcame Reigns, putting an end to his 1316-day world title reign. A night prior to finishing his story, Cody was pinned by The Rock in a tag team match including Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.

John Cena responds to The Rock throwing shade at him after Bad Blood return

At Bad Blood, The Rock was on camera for merely a few minutes. After the show went off air, The People’s Champ decided to go live on Instagram. He exited the arena, talking some trash, and spotted a John Cena portrait engraved on a WWE production truck in the parking lot.

The Fast & Furious actor yelled at his longtime rival to go eat some fruity pebbles, a shade at Cena that goes back in time when they were feuding. Reacting to Rock’s mordant compliment, John took to Instagram, posting a picture of a Fruity Pebbles cereal box.

It’s worth mentioning that these wrestler-turned-actors came face-to-face at WrestleMania XL, where The Cenation Leader ended up getting dropped on his back, courtesy of a Rock Bottom.
