Following his undigestable excempt from the company, multiple reports came out regarding the reason behind Bray’s WWE exit. Fightful Select exclusively reported that Wyatt’s tuning with Vince was not going smooth as they had differences over the creative being put on table for Wyatt’s character.

There were numerous people backstage who said that Wyatt was outspoken when he thought creative was bad, and by the end, some felt Vince McMahon just didn’t like him due to that”, the report from Fightful said.

The latest reason which is being put on papers by Ringside News reporting the reason behind Wyatt’s release said that “The Fiend” as a character wasn’t doing any good to his opponents and rather it destroyed their own. Bray thought himself as the modern Undertaker but he was not building the people he was working against as opposed to The Phenom who produced new stars throughout his career while working with them. Here’s exactly what the report had to say,

He killed babyface Rollins and babyface Miz and there are analytics that document this. Plus, the push went to his head and he thought he was modern day Undertaker. Except once Taker got on top, he started making any other top star he worked with. Bray doesn’t know how to do that and the gimmick doesn’t lend to it.”

His infamous Seth Rollins match inside Hell in a Cell in 2019 also contributed to the Wyatt’s ultimate release from WWE.

Bray Wyatt later returned to WWE television in 2019 debuting a brand new demonish gimmick known as “The Fiend” which included him wearing a scary mask over his face and a completely different ring attire. This character got the immediate attention of many wrestling fans as it was really intimidating and unique especially in the modern era of professional wrestling. But due to WWE’s questionable booking decisions, the character was not completely booming as many initially predicted.

Bray’s first major feud with The Fiend’s character was with Seth Rollins in which they faced other at the infamous Hell in a Cell event inside that structure for the Universal Championship. The match ended in a Disqualification which was completely a stupid decision to end the match that way especially inside of the cell. The fans booed out the terrible finish and many of them even “refund”, “AEW” and “bullsh*t”. The finish damaged the characters of both the superstars to a great extent and the match is still remembered today as one of the worst in WWE history.

At the Crown Jewel event, Wyatt finally defeated Rollins to capture the Universal Championship. Later next month at the Survivor Series pay-per-view event, The fiend dismantled Daniel Bryan in a match for the Title. He next feuded with The Miz and they had a match at TLC for the Title where Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Funhouse character came out to battle The Miz instead of The Fiend. At the event, Wyatt easily retained his championship. Following this, Bryan returned with a brand new short hair and clean shaved look to take our Bray Wyatt.

Next up, Wyatt faced Bryan in a Strap Match with his Fiend gimmick at the Royal Rumble but was again defeated. Finally, Goldberg ended his Title reign at Super Showdown PPV held in Saudi Arabia dishing out multiple spears and a botched Jackhammer to The Fiend which completely destroyed The Fiend as a “character” in WWE.
