WWE Hell in a Cell 2021 is just a couple of days away. This year, 2 matches are scheduled to take place inside the unforgiving structure, but none of them involve the women’s division. Both the top titles of the men’s division – Universal Championship and WWE Championship will be on the line, inside the Cell.

Former Smackdown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks holds the record for the most appearances inside the Hell in a Cell, from the women’s division. In total there have been three women’s Hell in a Cell matches, and Sasha Banks has been a part of every single one of them.

In 2016, in the first ever Women’s Hell in a Cell match, Sasha Banks faced Charlotte Flair. Banks had walked in as the Raw Women’s Champion, but had lost the title to Flair.

In 2019 Banks was the challenger for the Raw Women’s Championship. Then Champion Becky Lynch managed to successfully defend her title against.

Her final appearance inside the Hell in a Cell came in 2020, when she challenged Bayley for the Smackdown Women’s title. Banks managed to defeat Bayley and was crowned the Champion.

Bianca Belair is ready for a rematch against Sasha Banks after WWE Hell in a Cell

This year, Sasha Banks is not scheduled to appear at the Hell in a Cell PPV. She has been off WWE TV, since she lost her title to Bianca Belair during the main event of Night One of Wrestlemania 37. Superstars like Banks and Edge are being advertised to appear during the WWE live events, which resume in July.

With Banks gearing up for her return, Bianca Belair is prepared for a rematch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks. In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Belair said, “That night at WrestleMania, our match was about so much more than winning the title. We made history. And I’m fully expecting a rematch.”

But before Bianca Belair shifts her focus to facing Sasha Banks, she has to face Bayley. The duo will battle against each other at Hell in a Cell PPV for the Championship.

Hell in a Cell airs live on 20th June, 2021.
