As Triple H dubbed it in the Raw on Netflix logo reveal, it is Raw, Real, and Rebellious. That said, although not announced yet, everyone’s counting on a surprise appearance by The Rock on January 6. And did WWE just tease it? On this week’s edition of Raw, general manager Adam Pearce was interviewed backstage by Cathy Kelley.
He officially announced that CM Punk and Seth Rollins will settle their differences on the show. Initially, the belief within the WWE Universe was that they’d main event a night of WrestleMania 41. After dropping that bombshell, Pearce continued his rhetoric, implying that the fans could expect big things from the first-ever Raw on Netflix.
The camera placement at the moment was spot on as Rock’s graphic happened to be in the frame when Pearce alluded to surprises that the fans are anticipating from Raw’s Netflix debut. If anything, the Triple H era of WWE has primarily revolved around subtle hints like these. That production truck with The Great One on it could’ve been anywhere in the arena.
However, it was purposely aired on TV during Pearce’s segment. A previous report from Fightful noted that those at Netflix were expecting the Hollywood star to be there in person for the Netflix premiere of Raw. Moreover, on last week’s episode of WrestleVotes Radio, it was mentioned that The Final Boss will indeed be there in addition to John Cena.
Per Chris Featherstone, current plans don’t factor in Rock competing at WrestleMania 41. That might change in a hurry, and time will tell more. At one point, the 52-year-old was considered a lock for a match at WrestleMania. That notion has failed to be upheld.
Fans bolster their hopes for The Rock’s WWE appearance at Raw on Netflix debut
As it goes without saying, the latest tease of The Rock‘s next WWE appearance has sent the fans on social media into a frenzy. The wrestling circles on X are all but convinced that The Final Boss is definitely stopping by the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles for Raw’s Netflix premiere.
A fan hilariously pointed out that when Adam Pearce and Rock’s graphic were on a single frame on Raw, it felt so in sync due to them being bald. Another fan said that Mr. Pearce is dropping Easter Eggs like it’s WrestleMania season already.
That said, there is ongoing speculation among fans that Rock might crash the Tribal Combat between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. In doing so, he’d probably reveal himself as the mastermind behind the new Bloodline. That could lead to the much-awaited Rock vs. Reigns showdown at WrestleMania 41.
