WWE Smackdown results – 02/04/2021 (Daniel Bryan in a Street Fight, Logan Paul appears)

Bryan and Reigns
The episode of WWE Smackdown kicked off with the highlights of the last week’s episode. WWE official Adam Pearce announced that the Universal Championship match at Wrestlemania will be a triple-threat match.
Edge’s segment
The Rated – R Superstar mentioned that the mayhem, destruction and the chaos that happened at Fastlane didn’t need to happen. Or maybe he was just naïve to believe that his road to Wrestlemania would be smooth without any roadblocks.
Edge was so focused on Roman that he did not see Daniel Bryan coming. He should have seen that Bryan was being an opportunist with all his scenarios for Wrestlemania. But thanks to Bryan, Edge got a lot of time for reflection.
Edge looked into the mirror and saw someone who when backed into the corner came out biting and swinging. He saw the Rated R Superstar. He is the man who Reigns and Bryan aspire to be. Last week hitting them with the chair felt good and he won’t hesitate in doing that again. He threw the microphone and left.
Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode and The Alpha Academy def. The Street Profits, Rey and Dominik Mysterio
Dominik started off with a tornado DDT on Ziggler. He went for the cover but Ziggler kicked out. All eight men fought as Ziggler and his partners were thrown to the outside.
Back in the ring, Dawkins hit Ziggler with a clothesline. He knocked Otis off the ring apron. Roode was tagged in and with the referee distracted, Otis hit Dawkins with a clothesline. Otis slammed Dawkins into the turnbuckle as Dawkins fell down.
A snap mare by Otis followed by a head lock but Dawkins countered with a jaw breaker. Both men ran to the ropes and a double clothesline followed. Gable and Ford were tagged in and Ford hit a clothesline.
In came Rey as he hits Roode with a drop kick. Rey went for the 619 but Roode tripped Rey up to the outside. Rey threw Roode into the barricade. Dominik flipped Dolph to the outside.
Ford climbed the top rope and he jumped but lands on his feet. Otis tagged in and climbed on the second rope, he jumped and a big slam on Ford for the win.
Seth Rollins – Cesaro segment
Corey Graves was in the ring as Cesaro and Rollins made their way to the ring. Seth ackno0wledged himself as Mr.Wrestlemania. Graves asked Cesaro that Wrestlemania 37 will be his first singles match at Mania, could be a breakthrough match?
Cesaro answered that it was the biggest match of his career and he won’t fail. He promises to swing Rollins again. Seth mentioned that the pressure is on Cesaro. Rollins himself has handled Wrestlemania pressure against the likes of Triple H and Brock Lesnar. He said he was unshakable.
But Cesaro reminded that Rollins might be unshakeable but he was not unswingable. Seth kicked Graves out of the ring and said that he was sick of Cesaro and will embarrass him at Wrestlemania.
Natalya def. Shayna Baszler
Nia Jax and Reginald were on commentary. Both women exchanged reversals and tried to roll up as Natalya got the pinfall. Nia Jax and Shayna beat Natalya and Tamina after the match. Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott ran down to the ring. Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke followed. Lana and Naomi ran down too. Natalya and Tamina are the last team standing tall.
Sami Zayn’s Red Carpet Premiere with Logan Paul
Zayn made his way down to the ring. The mat was covered with Red Carpet. He said that the documentary will show without a shadow of a doubt that there was a conspiracy against him, to undermine him and his career. He said it will shock the viewers and leave them speechless.
Sami introduced Logan Paul to the ring as they hugged. Logan said he was excited to be in a WWE ring. Sami invited Logan to be his guest at WrestleMania and Logan accepted. Sami said it was great because he will get to see first hand what he will do to Kevin Owens.
The trailer was played on the big screen and was rated T for Truth. All facts without fiction. The tailer showed bits of Sami talking at different times as they mentioned different conspiracy theories. It was called Justice for Sami.
He asked Logan about his thoughts. Logan said it was a lot to take in, it was compelling. Paul mentioned that Kevin knew him for 15 years and he said that there was no conspiracy. Sami got little heated and apologized.
Logan said he could see Sami put a lot of effort in it. Kevin attacked Sami from behind and hit him with the stunner. Kevin told Sami, if he couldn’t talk sense into him, he would beat sense into him at WrestleMania. Kevin pushed Logan away and left the ring.
Carmella def. Bianca Belair
As Bianca was getting in the ring, Carmella attacked Bianca, knocking her to the outside. She throws Bianca into the ring steps. Carmella got on top of Bianca’s shoulders and hit a hurricanrana followed by a bronco buster. Carmella tied Bianca’s hair around the bottom rope and stomped on her.
Carmella taunted Bianca. She ran towards her but Bianca hit a clothesline knocking Carmella down. She went for a moon sault but Carmella moved out of the way and hit a super kick. Bianca hit her Carmella with the KOD for the win.
Daniel Bryan def. Jey Uso (Street Fight)
Edge was on commentary for the match. Jey threw Bryan to the outside as soon as the match began. Bryan threw Jey into the barricade. He went to throw Jey once more but Jey reversed it and Bryan went shoulder first into the barricade.
Jey grabbed a steel chair but as he was getting in the ring, Bryan kicked him. He went for a suicide dive but Jey hit him with the chair. Jey placed Bryan’s leg in between the chair. Jey climbed the top rope and went for the splash but Bryan moved out of the way.
Bryan grabbed the chair and hit Jey with the chair across the back as Roman’s music hits and out came the Universal Champion with Paul Heyman.
Jey placed the steel chair in between the two ropes. He threw Bryan head first into the steel chair. Uso went to the outside and grabbed a tool box from under the ring. Jey hit Bryan with the chain.
Edge said he doesn’t fear anyone which got Jey’s attention. He went for a suplex off the ring steps but Bryan blocked it. Bryan landed a suplex from the ring steps onto the floor.
Bryan grabbed a steel chair and looked at Edge. He slammed Jey’s face into the announce table as he looked at Edge again. He threw Jey back into the ring. Bryan climbed the top rope and landed a drop kick followed by yes kicks.
Bryan grabbed the steel chain and he wrapped it around his arm. He hit Jey with the chain and got Jey into the Yes Lock. Jey tapped out.
Daniel rolled out of the ring and hit Edge with the flying knee. He threw Edge face first several times into the ring post.
Bryan stared at Roman and walked towards him. Roman stood up and he threw the chair towards Bryan but Bryan moved out of the way. Bryan hit a running knee onto Roman and got him into a Yes Lock as the show ended.
