WWE Supersized Smackdown announced for next week

WWE Supersized Smackdown announced for next week

Lesnar

WWE Supersized Smackdown will be airing next week. The upcoming episode of the Blue brand will be longer than the traditional Smackdown episodes – with a runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes. This essentially means that for the final half hour of the show, WWE will be directly colliding with their biggest competitor All Elite Wrestling’s Rampage.

The show will also be airing on FS1, in the US, instead of FOX, due to the MLB American League Championship Series Game 1. WWE Supersized Smackdown has been aptly named, considering the massive card that has been announced. Predictably, WWE needs to put their best foot forward, as this is the first time that a WWE main roster show will be airing during the same time as an AEW show.

The upcoming episode of the Blue brand is also going to be the go-home show for Crown Jewel. WWE has already started announcing the card for the episode, in order to attract as many viewers as possible. The show will be featuring the semi-finals of the King of the Ring and the Queen’s Crown tournament.

Finn Balor will be battling against Sami Zayn in the King of the Ring semin-finals. Whereas Zelina Vega will be up against Carmella, in order to earn a spot in the finals for the inaugural Queen’s Crown tournament. In addition to this, Sonya Deville also makes her in-ring return in a singles match against Naomi.

The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar is also announced to appear during the WWE Supersized Smackdown. Interestingly, the promotional material shows Brock Lesnar in his in-ring attire. This might be a hint that we might see Lesnar in action, ahead of his big match at Crown Jewel.

Speaking of the Saudi Arabia event, Becky Lynch will also be seen in action against Sasha Banks, in a non-title match. The two Superstars, in addition to Bianca Belair are scheduled to compete in a Triple Threat match for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at Crown Jewel.
