Some big names attended the recently-concluded UFC 262 event, including the former WWE Universal Champion Goldberg. He not only enjoyed the stacked fight card at the Toyota Center, but also had a memorable moment with a UFC Hall of Famer.
Goldberg jokingly put Matt Serra in a headlock during the event and even kissed his head affectionately after letting go of the headlock. This wasn’t all. Prior to the event, Goldberg got the fans hyped up for the event, via a video.
The UFC 262 event featured five main card bouts and two of these ended in knockouts. The pay-per-view was headlined by the lightweight title clash between Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler. Oliveira defeated the former Bellator Champion to become the king of the 155lbs division.
Goldberg’s WWE run
Goldberg was last seen on WWE TV at WWE Royal Rumble, where he lost the WWE Championship match against Drew McIntyre. But he is expected to appear on WWE again this year. Goldberg’s WWE contract runs through 2023 and he is required to appear in a match twice a year.
“I’d love to get in the ring with Cesaro. He’s one of the most talented guys to have ever put on a pair of boots. There’s no question about it. He’s very underappreciated, but now he’s getting some attention that’s well-deserved,” mentioned Goldberg during an appearance on WWE’s The Bump.
Cesaro recently lost his Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns. After the match, Seth Rollins attacked Cesaro and might’ve broken his arm with the steel chair. So we might not see Goldberg facing Cesaro this year, but we can expect him to return to a WWE PPV.
