For decades, the Royal Rumble has been one of WWE’s most intriguing spectacles. The game is about more than just victory; it’s about how well you execute and how long you can last.
In this post, we’ll look at the 5 Superstars who spent the least amount of time in the Royal Rumble match.
6 Superstars who spent the shortest time in the Royal Rumble match
Bushwhacker Luke – 4 seconds
One of the men that got removed too quickly in this 30 men over the top rumble match was one half of the famed tag team The Bushwhackers from the early 1990s. Bushwhacker Luke was eliminated from this match in 1991 after Earthquake eliminated him in 4 seconds.
Xavier Woods – 3 seconds
The New Day member fell quickly after helping his teammate, Kofi Kingston, to pull off his annual save. After the pair got in the ring, Drew McIntyre eliminated them both immediately in the 2019 Royal Rumble.
Owen Hart – 3 seconds
It’s hard to believe, but it’s true. Owen Hart, the former European champion, was knocked out of the Royal Rumble bout in barely 3 seconds in 1995. And wonder who eliminated him: British Bulldog, his tag team partner.
No Way Jose – 2 seconds
Another short stay in the 2019 Royal Rumble; this time it was the party animal, No Way Jose. In fact, he entered the match with his Conga line, dancing to the ring. Samoa Joe instantly eliminated Jose, who hilariously went back to The Gorilla the way he came to the ring.
Sheamus – 2 seconds
The 2018 Royal Rumble is undoubtedly one of the best of the modern era. One of the running gags of the match was Heath Slater being attacked by stars, not being able to enter the ring. However, when Sheamus entered at #11, he decided to end things but the 3MB member had other ideas and eliminated The Celtic Warrior immediately.
The Warlord – 2 seconds
For the past two decades, Warlord has held the record for being the fastest person to be eliminated from a Royal Rumble match. In the Royal Rumble of 1989, he was eliminated in under two seconds by Hulk Hogan.
Santino Marella – 1 second
Santino Marella set a new record in 2009 when he was eliminated from the Royal Rumble match in under a second! Kane was the one who took him out. It has remained a record to this day, and it does not appear that it will be broken in the near future.
