WWE Survivor Series 2021: Sonya Deville announces new Team Smackdown member
Deville
WWE Survivor Series 2021 is just a couple of sleeps away. This year the build-up to the event has barely gotten the fans hyped up – barring a few matches. The event is considered to be the one night where both the main roster brands of WWE collide against one another for brand supremacy. Champions from both the brands collide against one another.
But the highlight of the PPV is the traditional 5-on-5 Elimination Tag Team matches – one each for men and women. Earlier, the build up to the event involved several qualifying matches for Superstars to earn a place on the team. But this year WWE did away with those matches. The teams were directly announced.
But surprisingly, weeks before WWE Survivor Series 2021, Aliyah was removed from the team. She was part of the Smackdown team which also featured Sasha Banks, Shayna Baszler, Shotzi Blackheart and Natalya. But moments after debuting on the Blue brand, Aliyah was removed from the team by Sonya Deville. She recently revealed Toni Storm to be Aliyah’s replacement.
“With #SurvivorSeries fast approaching, I want to ensure each brand is represented by the best and brightest Superstars. Therefore, it’s my pleasure to announce that TONI STORM will be the fifth and final member of the #Smackdown Women’s team. Congrats and good luck on Sunday!”– tweeted Sonya Deville.
