Tag Team Champion Carmella dealing with several injuries

Carmella is an American professional wrestler, dancer and a model. 2021 was a massive year for her, considering the massive push she received on the main roster. She was signed by WWE way back in 2013. The very next year, she started appearing as an on-screen manager to Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady.

But a major highlight in Carmella’s career came when she became the winner of the inaugural Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. But the contract win wasn’t all – she managed to cash-in the contract successfully and pinned Charlotte Flair to become the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

Post these reigns, the former Smackdown Women’s Champion was restricted to the 24/7 Championship scene. She primarily featured in those short segments with the then- Champion R-Truth. But in 2021 she was back in the Championship scene – majorly feuding against Bianca Belair. She even managed to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship – along with Queen Zelina.

It is currently being reported that the one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions is currently dealing with several injuries. In fact, many eagle-eyed fans noticed that she did not tag in during her recent match against Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H.  The injuries were reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider. She is trying her best to battle through the injuries before taking time off from the company.

Women’s Tag Team Champion Carmella and Zelina Vega have been feud against Rhea Ripley and Zelina Vega for a long time now. But this feud has received some serious criticism for the way Ripley and Vega have been treated. It is quite likely that the Tag Team feud might soon come to an end.

This would provide the opportunity for some new team to stand up to them. The Women’s division isn’t exactly stacked with several options – hence, we could see the birth of a new Tag Team. Alexa Bliss is also returning, so she could too be made a part of the division. Additionally, some new Superstars could also be brought into the scene.
