Goldberg has been one of the most dominant professional wrestlers in the entire industry. After all there isn’t any other Superstar who can boast of an undefeated streak that is as massive as that of Bill Gold. During his time on World Championship Wrestling, he had an undefeated streak of 173. While this is considered to be a highly exaggerated number, it is still the official number of the streak.

While his dominance in the professional wrestling industry is known to the entire world, but what many might not know is the fact that Bill Goldberg is also a former American football player! In his early years, the former Universal Champion had earned a scholarship to play for the University of Georgia Bulldogs football team – as a defensive tackle.

While Berg played as a defensive tackle for the team way back in the 80s but recently his team made him really proud. The wait for 41 years finally came to an end as the Georgia Bulldogs defeated Alabama Crimson Tide, 33-18, to win their first national Championship. The win ended over a four-decade long drought.

Goldberg recently appeared for an interview with TMZ Sports where he was elated to see the curse finally breaking. “I would say the entire Bulldog Nation is … I don’t wanna say stunned by any stretch of the imagination. But we’re pinching ourselves and finally coming to the realization that the curse is freaking broken and it feels really good,” mentioned the professional wrestler.

Goldberg addresses his future in WWE

Goldberg was last seen on WWE at Crown Jewel 2021, where he battled and emerged victorious against Bobby Lashley in a No Holds Barred match. Since then he has not been seen on WWE. He usually appears twice a year for the company. It was being speculated that he was done with his WWE appearances.

But the former Universal Champion revealed that he still has one match to go. “There is one more match currently on the contract and I don’t know who, I don’t know when, I don’t know where. All I know is if its my last match somebody is going down for good,” he mentioned.
