#5 Tag-team Turmoil Match
Before the Fastlane match in 2015 featuring Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns, they competed in a tag team Turmoil Match against six teams consecutively. Their first victory was against The Miz and Damien Mizdow, with Bryan securing the win through a running knee strike. They faced the Usos next, and Bryan emerged victorious with the application of the YES lock. The duo then defeated Los Matadores with the running knee strike again. Reigns quickly eliminated Slater Gator with a spear, the Ascension was disqualified, allowing Bryan and Reigns to advance. In the final bout, they defeated the duo of Big Show and Kane, with Bryan forcing Big Show to submit to the Yes Lock. This match lasted a total amount of 65 minutes.
#4 Bruno Sammartino VS Gorilla Monsoon
At Madison Square Garden in New York City on October 4, 1963, Bruno Sammartino and Gorilla Monsoon battled in a legendary professional wrestling match that lasted for an impressive 70 minutes. The encounter was a classic demonstration of strength and endurance between two of the most popular wrestlers of that era. At the time, Sammartino was the reigning World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) Champion, and Monsoon was his challenger. Given their long-standing rivalry, the match generated high levels of anticipation from wrestling fans all over the world. The match ultimately concluded with a 70-minute draw, meaning that Sammartino retained his WWE Championship.
#3 Pedro Morales VS Bruno Sammartino
Although very little information is available about this encounter, it is widely recognized as one of the lengthiest matches in WWE history. In the iconic Madison Square Garden arena, WWE Champion Bruno Sammartino competed against the famous Latino wrestler Pedro Morales in a title match, thus breaking his own record for the longest match in WWE history (at that time). As per the rules of the championship, Sammartino retained his title as the reigning champion. Despite the grueling and hard-hitting match, Sammartino got the victory, still being the champion.
#2 Bruno Sammartino VS Waldo Von Erich
On August 22nd, 1964, Bruno Sammartino defended his esteemed WWE Championship against Waldo Von Erich at a WWE house show. The encounter finished with a draw after a grueling 81–minute battle due to the show exceeding the arena’s curfew. In those days, this was referred to as a “curfew draw” as it was considered a serious matter if the show ran past the venue’s curfew. The consequences could be brutal. At the time, this match set the record for the longest wrestling match ever.
#1 Seven-Man Gauntlet Match
A few weeks before The Elimination Chamber event in 2018, a seven-man gauntlet match took place featuring Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, John Cena, Finn Balor, The Miz, Braun Strowman, and Elias. This particular match stood out from other WWE matches in recent times due to its surprising duration of 101 minutes. During the match, Rollins delivered a stunning performance, eliminating both Reigns and Cena while enduring a sweaty 65 minutes in the ring. Consequently, Strowman emerged victorious in this one-of-a-kind match.
