Royal Rumble is WWE’s staple match type. It is one of the most anticipated events of the whole year because of the unexpected surprises it has in store for everyone. It has been an annual tradition since its inception in 1988, almost always taking place in January. The Premium Live Event marks the beginning of the road to WrestleMania, with the winner getting a guaranteed title shot at the grandest stage of them all.
Throughout the years, many wrestlers have entered the ring, and most of them have left disappointed. But some stars stand out more than anyone. It takes a lot of courage, endurance, and will to compete in multiple Royal Rumble matches and create a record that lasts for ages. Hundreds of superstars have entered the ring, but these five are the ones who have the most eliminations across all Royal Rumble matches.

#5 Braun Strowman – 35*

The Monster Among Men is the only superstar here who is still an active member of the WWE roster. This means he would probably rank even higher on the list in the upcoming years. Braun Strowman is one of the few wrestlers who never got a guaranteed title shot despite winning the Royal Rumble. The Monster won the 2018 “Greatest Royal Rumble” in Saudi Arabia and won a cup and a special belt after the match instead. The 50-man match helped boost Strowman’s tally to 35 eliminations in his six Rumble appearances.
Braun Strowman is also tied with Brock Lesnar for the most eliminations in a single Royal Rumble match. He achieved this feat in the same special event in Saudi Arabia, eliminating 13 other competitors. Strowman made his Rumble debut in 2016, where he showed his strength from the onset, having the most eliminations in that match as well.
#4 “Stone Cold” Steve Austin – 36

Many people are familiar with Steve Austin for holding the record for the most Royal Rumble victories. However, he also ranks very high in having the most eliminations. The Texas Rattlesnake has eliminated 36 other competitors and has won the match three times in his career. He also has the best average of eliminations, at six per match, achieving the feat in just six Rumble appearances.
It was his first victory in 1997 when Austin scored his most eliminations in a single match. He eliminated 10 participants and went on to have a controversial victory. His performance in the following year was equally impressive, with another victory and seven more eliminations. Steve Austin is also one of the three wrestlers to win two consecutive Royal Rumble matches.
#3 Shawn Michaels – 39

The Heartbreak Kid is one of the wrestlers who stood out in the Royal Rumble match in its initial years. Shawn Michaels would win two consecutive Royal Rumble matches in 1995-96, entering the match at numbers 1 and 18, respectively. He has a massive 39 eliminations from an equally impressive 12 Rumble matches. In 1995, Michaels became the first wrestler to win the match by entering it first. He lasted almost 40 minutes in the match along with British Bulldog, who entered second and was the last one to get eliminated.
Michaels had many matches where he had no eliminations, including his initial Rumble appearance. However, it was his two victories that boosted his numbers. He would have his career-best eight eliminations in both Rumble victories. Mr. WrestleMania would have an impressive six more eliminations in his final appearance in 2010, leaving a remarkable legacy behind him.

The Undertaker is one of the most iconic wrestlers in history. He is best known for the longest undefeated streak at WrestleMania. However, even the Deadman tried to earn his shot for the world title at the show of shows multiple times.
In his decades-long career, the Deadman appeared in 11 Royal Rumble matches and eliminated 40 other competitors overall. However, the Phenom had to wait a long time to get his solo Rumble victory. In the 2007 match, Undertaker entered last at number 30 and became the first wrestler to win the Rumble from that position. He would go on to win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 23 against Batista.
#1 Kane – 46

This will come as no surprise to anyone due to their illustrious careers spanning multiple decades and generations. The Big Red Monster, Kane, is one name that is known for his dominant performances in the Royal Rumble matches. Unfortunately, a Royal Rumble victory always eluded him, unlike his kayfabe brother.
The Big Red Machine not only has the most eliminations across all Royal Rumbles with 46, but he also has the record for most Rumble appearances at 20. Kane’s most impressive performance came in 2001, when he lasted for more than 50 minutes in the match and eliminated 11 other competitors. He would last till the final two, eventually getting eliminated by the winner, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
