Universal Champion Roman Reigns continued his dominant run at WWE Summerslam 2021, as he successfully pinned 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena. The Tribal Chief and the Leader of Cenation had main-evented the “Biggest Party of the Summer”, and delivered an exciting, over 20-minute-long bout!

The match was dominated by the Universal Champion Roman Reigns for most of the parts, but Cena kept the fans on the edge of their seats with regular pinfall attempts. In the buildup to the match, Cena had mentioned on several occasions that he only needed to do “1..2..3” and become 17-time Champion. This is exactly what Cena tried to do throughout the match and kept fans into thinking that he was close to winning!

Recently, one of the younger fans of Cena’s mirrored the rollercoaster of emotions that all Cena fans must’ve gone through. The reaction caught the attention of The Tribal Chief himself, and he replied to the tweet as well. “Your Tribal Chief keeps his promises kid. #ManOfMyWord” tweeted the Universal Champion.

At WWE Summerslam 2021, Reigns picked up, inarguably, the most dominant win of his current Heel tenure. While the match was exciting and thrilling, the Cena – Reigns rivalry also led to the delivery of the best promo of the year. The two Superstars went all-out in a promo that name-dropped Nikki Bella, Dean Ambrose and even made a CM Punk reference!

While Universal Champion Roman Reigns was basking in the glory of defeating John Cena decisively, his celebration was cut short by a new challenger. The Beast Incarnate – Brock Lesnar made a surprising return to WWE, delivering the highlight of WWE Summerslam 2021.

With a new look, Lesnar walked down to the ring, and was involved in a face-off with a shocked Reigns. But there was someone else who was more shocked than Reigns – Paul Heyman. The presence of Heyman makes this feud more interesting.

Paul Heyman, who is currently the Special Counsel to Roman Reigns, used to be an on-screen manager to Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate is scheduled to appear on the upcoming episode of Smackdown and we could see the first match announcement for WWE Extreme Rules 2021.
