WATCH: Drew McIntyre slashes his sword and destroys the Wrestlemania ring
McIntyre
Drew McIntyre and Happy Corbin collided in the second match of Wrestlemania Saturday. The two Superstars, along with Madcap Moss have been at loggerheads for quite some time now – but interestingly, this was the first time in this rivalry that we got to witness a singles match between the two of them.
McIntyre has extensively battled against the 2022 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner, Madcap Moss. But he needed a new strategy when he stepped into Wrestlemania, to face an undefeated Happy Corbin. The two Superstars delivered a massive battle, as was expected from the two of them.
An important role has been played by McIntyre’s sword in this feud. There have been several occasions when Happy Corbin came close to stealing the ring and there have been several occasions where Drew McIntyre came close to slashing his opponents! But at Wrestlemania 38, he managed to slash the ring ropes with his sword!
After Drew McIntyre delivered the Claymore Kick and picked up the win against Corbin, Madcap Moss tried to enter the ring while the Scottish Warrior celebrated. But McIntyre saw him and swung his sword so hard that he ended up cutting the ring ropes! You can checkout the video above.
What’s next for Drew McIntyre?
The Scottish Warrior has already made his intention clear. The top Championships of the company are going to be on the line in the main event of Wrestlemania Sunday. Universal Champion Roman Reigns will be colliding against WWE Champion Brock Lesnar in a Title Unification match.
Drew McIntyre has already announced that irrespective of the winner, he is coming after the Unified Champion. It has been too long since he was seen in a title scene – it is quite surprising considering he is someone who was the Champion for practically entire 2020!
