Matt Riddle is an American professional wrestler & martial artist. He is currently performing at the Raw brand in WWE. In 2018, Riddle joined WWE and adopted the role of the “traditional valley guy surfer” who is carefree and wears no shoes. The BroserWeights, a tag team of Riddle and Pete Dunne, won the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament and were crowned NXT Tag Team Champions.

After being elevated to the main roster, he won the United States Championship in February 2021. In April, Riddle and Orton formed the tag team RK-Bro, which captured the Raw Tag Team Championship in August 2021 and March 2022. Their chemistry was amazing whether off-screen or on-screen. The move combination of this duo was terrific. Riddle also used to deliver Orton’s legendary finisher, the RKO.

Like many superstars, Riddle’s career also began at UFC. During that period he held the record of eight wins & three losses. He failed two drug tests within a year, which put a stop to his promotion push. He once tested positive for marijuana due to which he was banned from the ring for a brief period. Later, during his second championship win, he again tested positive. This time he was released by the company as the consumption of marijuana is banned in UFC.

Before the three fights that were scheduled for him during the year, Riddle reportedly underwent three drug tests, according to Dana White. He failed every single one of them. The 37-year-old previously admitted to using marijuana for medicinal reasons in an interview with MMA Fighting.

Riddle said “I smoke so that I can finally unwind, take a seat, and simply stop worrying about stuff. People may have done it in college in a particular way, but for a person like me, a professional athlete who experiences the same things we do, it serves as medication. Perhaps it is a drug for some young stoner playing XBox while lounging on the couch. It’s medication for me,”

Matt Riddle is one of the most talented athletes on WWE’s roster, but WWE hasn’t done many experiments with him. Other than pairing him with Orton, Riddle hasn’t achieved much since his time on the big brands. Currently, he is involved in a rivalry between the bloodline and the team of Sami Zayn & Owens. Where he has joined the face team of Sami & Owens.

Riddle has been wrestling singles matches since his tag partner Randy Orton went out of action due to an injury. This is the time when Riddle can work on his skills and character to improve himself inside the ring to prove to WWE admins and the audience that he can do everything if the opportunity is given.
