Former UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya appeared to fall asleep while watching the main event fight between Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili. Adesanya is known to cover the other fight cards when not fighting. However, this time, he did not watch the whole fight.
It appears that Merab’s wrestling-heavy fighting style and Petr Yan’s inability to counter them made Adesanya fall asleep on his couch. The fight lasted five rounds, and Merab won each of those five rounds. However, there is also a chance of Israel Adesanya sleeping due to being very tired. Considering the fight happened earlier than usual, and the time zones are far apart in the United States and New Zealand. Hence, claiming Merab’s heavy wrestling approach made Adesanya fall asleep is not factual.
Israel Adesanya is preparing to fight the Middleweight Champion Alex Pereira in a rematch. They last fought against each other at UFC 281, where Pereira stopped Adesanya in the final round by TKO.
Adesnaya has lost to Pereira three times after having two bouts in Kickboxing and the latest one in MMA. Alex Pereira appears to be Adesanya’s ‘Kryptonite’ unless he proves otherwise at UFC 287.
Israel Adesanya was “shaken” by Jon Jones’s performance

Israel Adesanya is known to cover fights on his Youtube Channel. While covering UFC 285, featuring the return of Jon Jones after a hiatus of three years, Adesanya was shaken by the dominance brought by Jones against Ciryl Gane.

Adesnaya uttered, “What the ***?” in astonishment after Jones quickly deposed Gane to win the UFC Heavyweight title. Israel Adesanya and Jon Jones have been in Twitter wars for years, even indicating a desire to fight each other. But it has not happened yet and looks to never happen again as Jones has moved to the Heavyweight division.
Israel Adesanya is preparing to fight Alex Periera at UFC 287 in a title rematch. He will look to finally defeat Periera, who has beaten him three times across two combat sports.
