One of the most interesting topics in the NFL this season has been the MVP debate. There are multiple candidates for the coveted award, and none of those have won the trophy before. 

Dallas Cowboys‘ QB Dak Prescott had a brilliant November, whereas the San Francisco 49ers‘ QB Brock Purdy has been balling in recent weeks. Jalen Hurts, the Philadelphia Eagles‘ QB, has led his team to a league-best 10-2 record so far this season.

However, according to former NFL player and current Fox Sports analyst LeSean McCoy, the frontrunner for the NFL’s MVP this season is Miami Dolphins superstar WR Tyreek Hill.

The award usually goes to a quarterback, and in a season that has seen some fabulous QB play, claiming that a receiver is a frontrunner for the award is a bit odd. The fans on social media certainly think so.

"Right now there's no great quarterbacks playing. Dak Prescott, of lately, is playing the best. I've never seen him play this good. But it's really not him, it's not Jalen Hurts either or Patrick Mahomes, it's really Tyreek Hill. The MVP should be Tyreek Hill. He should be the favorite.
McCoy said on the recent edition of the Fox Sports show, Speak.

Hill is having a phenomenal season with the Dolphins, as he is on pace to break the single-season receiving yards record.

Prescott and Purdy are having great seasons as well, and it is almost certain that the award will go to a quarterback this season as well. However, if there is a candidate who has a chance to break that, it is Tyreek Hill.

The MVP debate for this season is heating up. With just over a month remaining in the regular season, the race for the coveted award is getting tighter and tighter. Dak Prescott and Brock Purdy are strong candidates to lift the trophy, but, according to Fox Sports analyst LeSean McCoy, Tyreek Hill is the real frontrunner for the MVP award.

McCoy’s claim has garnered a lot of negative reactions on social media. The award has almost always gone to the best quarterback in the league for the season, and with multiple QBs playing elite football, this comment seems a bit far-fetched.
