The San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is having the best of his time on the turf. Like his game against the Cowboys, he registered four touchdowns against the Philadelphia Eagles as well this Sunday. In front of 2022’s Mr. Irrelevant, Jalen Hurts seemed to be overshadowed despite covering 298 yards with a touchdown.

Purdy completed 19 of his 27 passes for 314 yards. It was a great performance that set the tone for the 49ers in a crucial game. After winning the fixture 42-19, Kyle Shanahan‘s team moved on to the 9-3 record. On the other hand, the Eagles registered their second loss of the season, and their winning horse suffered a major halt.

Purdy’s week 13 game has brought him into the MVP discussion once again. He started the league with a fierce form. In the first five games, the 49ers’ offense was rattling at the defenses of the opponents and it was Brock Purdy taking the charge. His collaboration with the team’s running back Christian McCaffrey created a ruckus among defenders.

However, that stint had suffered a halt after the Cowboys game. From being the best, Purdy suffered major interception problems. Before going to the bye-week, the QB registered five interceptions in three games.

The bye week seemed magical for Purdy as he got much-needed mental and physical rest. From Jaguars to Eagles, all witnessed Purdy’s pigskin-throwing skills in full view.

Last year’s winner, Patrick Mahomes is on the back foot in the MVP race as two names are presently circulating in the air. Dak Prescott and Brock Purdy. Purdy’s name was expected but the instances of Prescott came as a surprise. Since his rookie year, Prescott was never been considered a favorite for the MVP actively.

It is to be seen who wins the MVP award considering the different names than the usual suspects. Both Prescott and Purdy are in good form and both have five matches to go. Purdy is presently leading the chart while Prescott is at second.
